Document Management Systems for Technical Drawings

Our Document Management Systems (DMS) have been developed to simplify storage and streamline access to technical documents within any organization. From dozens of documents to thousands, our DMS Systems can provide a safe, reliable way to manage your technical drawings, CAD files and other documents.

With the flexibility of our systems, we tailor each DMS to your organizations requirements. Our collaboration and document management systems are completely web-based to allow easy access to your documents from any web-enabled system in your organization. The structure of each storage system is customized to fit the work flow of the user. Your documents can be organized based on a variety of criteria such as file type, location, style, specific categories or folder structure.

Documents may even be linked to other technical files if they are accompanied by text files, flow charts, spreadsheets or other document types.

Each document is categorized and indexed within the system to make searching for specific types of CAD/tiff files far more easy than looking through cabinets of paper drawings. Once located, the document (AutoCAD/Microstation/TIFF/MS Office etc.) can be viewed within a web browser to redline/markup scale, pan and even print out. If the remote system used for viewing the documents has the appropriate CAD software installed (Microstation/AutoCAD etc) the documents can be downloaded directly into that software for use or editing.

A document check-out system prevents multiple users from editing the same documents. Our document versioning system keeps track of the changes made to documents that are edited or updated. Older documents will still be available but will have appropriate version numbers and descriptions.

A user management and permissions system assigns users access to some, all or individual documents, categories and areas of the system. Users will only have access to documents the system administrator allows. You can limit access to specific documents for each user or group of users. You can also allow contractors, clients and outside engineers access to the system and they will see only the files you need them to.
